A former labandera to one of the homeowners of nearby Marcelo Green Village and an errand girl in a certain company during her early 20's, Kagawad Eva D. Abejero, with such humble beginnings, has soared to greater achievement. Aside from a Barangay Kagawad, this solo parent is also the President of Manggahan Kawayanan HOA Phase 1 CMP Project. For years now, in between these demanding roles, she is managing a brokerage/freight service business.
Focusing more on her accomplishments as the President of this CMP Project, she worked hard and steadfast to resolve the security of tenure of her more or less 631 constituent-families as she was able to mobilize and consolidate the support and participation of the landowner, the Local Government and national agencies, NGOs and POs to this big endeavor. Continuing to complete documents for NHA's origination of their project, they can now occupy of more or less 200 newly-built structures sponsored by Gawad Kalinga Foundation.
Leading a big housing project is no joke because surely, the problem, the issues and the challenges that come with it are big too. Like her humble beginnings, the difficult tasks at hand have not dampened the spirit and leadership of Kagawad Abejero to continue realizing the dreams of her constituents.
First in the history of Parañaque was the administrative demolition that was implemented by the City government. Hence, its Parañaque Local Housing Board (PLHB) experienced its baptism of fire. Thirteen (13) recalcitrants of the CMP project were demolished, which resulted to expediting the construction of houses and establishments of roads and path walks. With the increase in the collection of financial requirements, this project shall be ready for take-out in early 2012.
