NATIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY

Continuing community development for rail resettled families

National Housing Authority General Manager Atty. Chito M. Cruz spearheaded the 3rd Congress for rail resettled families as represented by the energetic and dynamic Homeowners' Federation in Northville and Southville Inc. This was successfully made possible in cooperation with Assistant General Manager Froilan R. Kampitan and the Community Relations and Information Operations Department (CRIOD) led by Ms. Ivanswenda Maquez, Officer-in-Charge.

This Congress which was held at the NHA Operations Center recently, focused on the progress of implementation of its 5-year Housing and Community Development Management Plans which the community groups crafted last 2009 People's Congress at the Quezon City Sports Club.

The event also paved the way for identifying the progress/gains, setbacks and challenges faced by the Federation. It was participated in by some 135 community leaders, partner government offices, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), LGUs and top officials of the housing sector group.

Likewise, the homeowner-leaders who graduated from the Adamson School of Governance and Development Course acted as facilitators and organizers of the session.
