215 titles awarded to NGC beneficiaries
Vice President and HUDCC Chairperson Jejomar C. Binay recently awarded on 28 November 2011 215 land titles to qualified beneficiaries of the National Government Center (NGC) – West Side Housing Project located at Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.
This housing project which is now under the administration and supervision of the National Housing Authority General Manager Atty. Chito M. Cruz, was created by virtue of Presidential Proclamation 137 issued by then President Corazon C. Aquino in 1987. Implementation of the project started in 1994 whereby census-survey of potential beneficiaries was conducted.
This is the sixth batch of awarding where a total of 315 titles have already been released for this year. "I encourage all the beneficiaries of this project with existing Contracts to Sell to update your accounts and religiously pay your monthly dues to enable you to receive your titles in the near future to obtain security of tenure and dignity", VP Binay told the residents.
According to NHA –NGC West Management Office headed by Mr. Roderick Ibañez, they hope to produce 2,500 lots more for disposition this year. He strongly calls on the would-be recipients to render support and cooperation by submitting the complete documentary requirements needed to execute Contract to Sell to eventually receive their titles soon.
The awarding was attended by NHA General Manager Chito M. Cruz, Asst. General Manager Froilan R. Kampitan, HUDCC Secretary General Celia Alba, Congressman Winston Castelo, Mayor Herbert M. Bautista of Quezon City and other local officials, homeowners and leaders of the project.
