NHA grants titles to Rizal folks
The National Housing Authority, under the supervision of the Vice President and Housing and urban Development Coordinating Council Chairperson, Jejomar C. Binay awarded certificate of land titles to one hundred thirty-three (133) member-beneficiaries of Kaluwalhatian Homeowners Association Inc., residing at Carlos Francisco Avenue, Barangay San Isidro, Angono, Rizal.
The 11,212 square meter project which is owned and administered by the National Housing Authority, under the leadership of Atty. Chito M. Cruz, General Manager, is an off-site property, under the Land Tenure Assistance Program, or formerly named as "Magbalikatan Para sa Maunlad na Pabahay".
The Kaluwalhatian Homeowners Association Inc. is also a recipient of a two-storey Multi-Purpose Center that includes a consumer cooperative store, a credit cooperative office, a meeting room and a health clinic which were funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the New Zealand Government under its Community Development Category of Asia Development Assistance (ADAF).
The project was taken out on May 19, 1999 and the Association fully paid their account with NHA last July 17, 2009.
The event was attended by Rizal Governor Casimiro Ynares, Mayor Gerardo Calderon of Angono, Rizal and Congressman of 1st District of Rizal Province, Joel Roy Duavit, NHA Asst. General Manager, Froilan R. Kampitan and other local officials, leaders of homeowners and other stakeholders.
This project is in line with the present administration's goal of providing homes to the low marginalized sector and homeless sector of the society, where they can have their security of tenure and sense of dignity.
