Southville 7 housing committee convened
The Calauan Housing Committee for Southville 7 Housing Project in Calauan, Laguna met last 28 January 2011 at the Operations Center, NHA Main Building to bring together the important project stakeholders towards realizing the goal of providing a better quality of life for the resettled families.
The Southville 7 Housing Project is a resettlement site located in Brgys. Dayap and Sto. Tomas in Calauan, Laguna. The NHA entered into an agreement with the ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. (AFI) on the implementation and management of the Project last 24 February 2009.
On behalf of NHA General Manager Atty. Chito M. Cruz, who is the Chairman of the Committee, Asst. General Manager Froilan R. Kampitan presided over the meeting. The other Committee members are the ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. (AFI), Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). Ms. Regina Lopez, AFI Managing Director and current PRRC Head, represented both AFI and PRRC at the meeting.
Other important stakeholders present were former Mayor George Berris for the Municipality of Calauan; Fr. Rene Eriga for the Social Action Center-Diocese of San Pablo City; Fr. Pat Villasanta for the Salesians of Don Bosco Order; Fr. Atilano Fajardo for Caritas Manila Inc. and Mr. Jason Endaya for Habitat for Humanity. NHA-SLB officers and staff headed by Arch. Virginia R. Domingo, Group Manager.
The programs and activities of the major participating sectors were taken and the framework for collaboration among the stakeholders was also discussed.
