VP Binay leads MOA signing for Mindanao folks

Around one thousand twenty-five (1,025) families will benefit from the development of Kirahon Relocation Site as a joint undertaking between the National Housing Authority (NHA) and PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority (PIA).

Vice President and Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Chair Jejomar C. Binay led the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the NHA General Manager Atty. Chito M. Cruz and PIA Administrator Mr. Leo Tereso A. Magno.

The PIA, a government-owned and controlled corporation allocated a 20 hectare property to accommodate families affected by the expansion of the facilities of Hanjin Shipbuilding Complex and other locators in Kirahon Relocation Site located at Upper San Martin, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.

This project is under the NHA's Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) where it will provide the amount of Php 10 Million from the National Government released to NHA subsidy funds as its total contribution to the project representing the estimated cost for land development like roadworks and drainage system.
